Our layering clasps are made of stainless steel and plated in 18k gold, rose gold or white gold (Security Latch clasps come in gold and white gold). They're water and tarnish resistant, and stainless steel is hypoallergenic. The original Necklet, no longer sold, was made of gold-plated zinc alloy.

Yes. Attach your necklaces to the top and bottom rings and leave the middle ring empty. Depending on their weight and size, you can wear 2, 3 or even 4 necklaces on a triple clasp.

Keep about 2" between each necklace, for example 14", 16" and 18", or 16", 18" and 20". You can go up to 4" apart (like 14", 18" and 22"). The trick is to keep the same distance between all of them.

They'll overlap for a looser, more casual look. For neat, evenly spaced layers, use necklaces of different lengths.

We have extenders for that: three linked rings with a clasp that add up to 1" of length and fit even the daintiest chains. Email customerservice@shopnecklet.com with your order number to request them.

Usually there isn't quite enough weight in your stack to keep it at the back. Try a slightly heavier necklace, add a fourth necklace, or add a choker, which sits close to your neck and holds everything in place. Like any clasp, it may still move occasionally; just slide it back.

The triple clasp uses a strong magnet so it never comes undone, and that adds a little weight at the back. Balance it with an extra necklace or a pendant at the front.
